The short answer

This is a free online tool for anyone who wants to combine photos into a collage or stitch screenshots into one long image, and it needs no sign-up. Photo collage maker or long strip

Collage arranges your photos in a grid inside one picture. Pick the shape (1:1 square, 4:5, 3:4 or 9:16), the gap between photos and the background color. Photos can fill their cell, which crops the edges, or fit whole inside it, which leaves bars of background color.

Long strip stacks the photos from top to bottom at one width. It suits chat screenshots, receipts and step-by-step instructions that you want to send as a single image.

Made in your browser

The photos are read and drawn inside this page in your browser. Collages are drawn at up to 1080 pixels wide, and a long strip is scaled down if it would be larger than about 16 million pixels.

Make one on your iPhone with PicWay

PicWay makes collages on the phone: up to 20 photos in the fixed-ratio layouts, or 30 in Long strip. The finished picture is saved to the PicWay Creations album. The photo collage guide has the steps.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos can I combine?

Up to 20 in a collage and up to 30 in a long strip. Very tall strips are scaled down to stay inside what the browser can draw.

Can I stitch screenshots into one long image?

Yes. Choose Long strip. Every screenshot is scaled to the same width and stacked in the order shown.

Does the collage lose quality?

A collage is drawn at 1080 pixels wide, which suits social posts. A long strip uses the width of your widest screenshot, up to 1080.

Does the finished image keep my location?

No. The new image is drawn fresh, so the camera and location info of the original photos isn’t copied into it. The Display P3 color profile is kept when all photos have it.

Which collage shapes can I choose?

Four: 1:1 square, 4:5, 3:4 and 9:16. They apply to the collage layout. A long strip has no shape setting because it stacks the photos at one width.

Can I change the order of the photos?

Yes. Each photo in the list has Move up, Move down and Remove buttons. A collage needs at least 2 photos.

Will my photos be cropped?

Only if you choose “Fill the cell (crops)”. Choose “Fit whole photo” and each photo stays whole, with background color around it.

Can I change the gap and background color?

Yes. The gap slider runs from 0 to 60 and starts at 12, and you can pick a background color. White is the default.

Can I save the result as PNG?

Yes. You can save as JPG or PNG. JPG quality starts at 92%. The file is named collage or long-strip, with the matching extension.

Which photo formats can I add?

JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC. Photos you add this way are drawn into the picture in your browser, and a file the page can’t open is named in a message.

Do I need to sign up for an account?

No. There is no sign-up. Open this page, choose your file and download the result.
