PicWay Terms of Use

The short answer

PicWay is an iPhone photo organizer that works on your device. You don’t need an account to use it. PicWay has no server that receives your photos; only the Private Vault’s iCloud sync, on by default, stores encrypted content in your own iCloud. Deleting always goes through your review and an iOS confirmation. PicWay is provided as is, so keep your own backup of photos that matter. These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China.

Using PicWay

Last updated: November 1, 2026

PicWay is a photo organizer for iPhone made by DLY Co., Ltd (“we”). You don’t need to sign up: just open it and start. PicWay has no accounts, ads, or behavior tracking. Once PicWay is on the App Store, use it in line with the age rating shown on its App Store page.

Not yet on the App Store

PicWay isn’t on the App Store yet. Details of this website and of the app may change before and after launch.

App Store license

PicWay will be provided through the App Store, and once it is, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement will apply to it. These terms add to that agreement. Where the two conflict, and to the extent the law allows, Apple’s standard agreement prevails.

Your photos stay on your device

PicWay browses, analyzes, compresses, organizes, and deletes your photos and videos on this device only. PicWay has no server that receives your photos; only the Private Vault’s iCloud sync, on by default, stores encrypted content in your own iCloud, as described below. For details, see the privacy page.

Deleting photos

PicWay never deletes on its own. Before anything is deleted, you review it first, then iOS asks you to confirm.

Deleted photos and videos go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where you can recover them for 30 days. PicWay can’t empty Recently Deleted for you. You recover or empty it in the Photos app.

The Private Vault

While the Private Vault’s iCloud sync is on (it’s on by default, and you can turn it off in the vault’s settings), what you put in the vault is encrypted on your phone first, then stored in your own iCloud. Only you can open it.

When you set up the vault, you write down 12 words. PicWay doesn’t store them and can’t recover them. Write them on paper and keep them somewhere safe. See what to do if you forget your pattern.

Feedback

When you tap Send feedback to email us, the email includes the app version, iOS version, and an anonymous ID. It doesn’t include photos, file names, or locations. For other ways to get help, see Support.

Provided as is

To the fullest extent the law allows, PicWay is provided “as is”. We don’t promise that it will work without errors or that it will never be interrupted. Please keep your own backup of photos that matter to you, for example in iCloud Photos or on a computer.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses or for lost data. Liability that the law doesn’t allow us to exclude stays as it is, and so do your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (for the purposes of these terms, not including the laws of Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan). If a dispute arises, we will first try to settle it through friendly consultation. If that fails, either side may bring it before a people’s court with jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

The “Last updated” date is at the top of this page. If we make a significant change, we will say so on this website.
