You can use all of it when you write about PicWay. ## undefined {#brand-one} PicWay is an iPhone photo organizer: swipe to keep or set aside, switch to Life to hide screenshots, screen recordings and GIFs, and revisit memories, all without uploading your photos. ## undefined {#brand-short} PicWay is an iPhone photo organizer. It brings back On This Day and your journeys, sorts similar shots, duplicates, and bursts, and lets you make collages and cards or compress videos. Photos you don’t want get set aside first, and you review them before iOS asks you to confirm deleting. Your photos aren’t uploaded. There’s no account, no ads, and no tracking. Only the Private Vault can sync, and it’s encrypted first and stored in your own iCloud. ## undefined {#brand-long} PicWay is an iPhone photo organizer. It needs iOS 17.0 or later and works on iPad too. It brings your past photos back a set at a time, with On This Day, journeys it builds on its own, and Memories by month, album, or place. Similar shots, duplicates, bursts, and screen captures are each sorted into their own groups, and you choose what to keep. Photos you don’t want get set aside, where they stay in your library and you can put them back anytime. When you really want to delete, you review them first, then iOS asks you to confirm. Your photos can do more, too. Turn several Live Photos into one moving collage, make a card from a photo, or turn a video into a Live Photo. Video compression has two levels, Standard and Strong, and with Standard the change in quality is hard to see. Compressed Live Photos stay Live. Your original doesn’t disappear right away. You delete it only after checking that the new version looks right. Browsing, analyzing, compressing, organizing, and deleting all happen on your iPhone, and your photos and videos aren’t uploaded. PicWay has no accounts, ads, or behavior tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Photos and videos just for you can go in the Private Vault. They’re encrypted on your iPhone before they’re saved, you open the vault with a pattern, 12 words can get you back in, it won’t open during screen recording, and it locks on its own after a while. With iCloud sync on, it’s encrypted and stored in your own iCloud, and only you can open it. ## How PicWay handles your photos {#privacy-summary} - PicWay browses, analyzes, compresses, organizes, and deletes your photos and videos on your iPhone. PicWay has no server that receives your photos. - Your photos and videos leave this phone in only one case: the Private Vault’s iCloud sync (on by default). Items are encrypted and stored in your own iCloud, and only you can open them. - Review everything in Set Aside, then confirm with iOS before deleting. - PicWay has no accounts, ads, behavioral tracking or third-party SDKs. - iOS crash and hang reports stay on this device and aren’t sent to the developer automatically. ## Name and basics {#basics} - The app is called **PicWay**: capital P and W, no space. - PicWay needs **iOS 17.0 or later** and works on **iPhone and iPad**. - It comes in **8 languages**: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish, and French. - No sign-up. Open it and start. Full details are on the [requirements page](https://picway.app/specs/). ## What PicWay does {#features} - **Swipe to organize.** In a review, swipe right to keep, left to set aside, and up to favorite. Photos you set aside stay in your library until you review them and iOS asks you to confirm deleting. - **Life photos only.** In the Photos tab, switch the top bar from All to **Life** to hide screenshots, screen recordings, animated images, and saved images (not camera photos) whose text looks like a receipt, ID, or document. Nothing is deleted, and when PicWay isn’t sure, the photo stays in Life. - **Similar photos, duplicates, bursts, and screen captures**, each sorted into its own group so you choose what to keep. - **Search** dates, places, journeys, and photos. Search runs on the device. - **Memories**: On This Day, and journeys that PicWay puts together on its own. - **Video editing**: split a clip, delete the part you don’t want (even from the middle), and change the speed of each part (0.5× to 3×). Save it as a new video and the original stays untouched. - **Custom filters**: save your own adjustments as a filter, name it, and use it again. - **Convert format**: for example, save a HEIC photo as a JPG copy. - **Collages that move**: put Live Photos in a collage and it moves, All at once, One by one, or Spotlight. Save it as a Live Photo, a video, or a still image. - **Video to Live Photo**: touch and hold a video in your library and choose Make Live Photo. - **Video compression** with two levels, Standard and Strong. You check the new version before deleting the original. - **Share menu actions**: Collage (2 to 30 photos), Live Photo (one video), and Compress. - **Private Vault**: encrypted on the device, 12 words to get back in, won’t open during screen recording, and locks on its own. ## Mock-ups and icons {#how-to-use} - Keep the icon as it is: don’t change its colors or proportions, or add effects. - The mock-ups are site illustrations, not screenshots taken on a device, and they currently show the Chinese interface.
