PicWay is an iPhone photo organizer: swipe to keep or set aside, switch to Life to hide screenshots, screen recordings and GIFs, and revisit memories, all without uploading your photos. By default, swipe right to keep and left to set aside; a swipe never deletes anything.

PicWay is an iPhone photo organizer. It needs iOS 17.0 or later and works on iPad too. It brings your past photos back a set at a time, with On This Day, journeys it builds on its own, and Memories by month, album, or place. Similar shots, duplicates, bursts, and screen captures are each sorted into their own groups, and you choose what to keep. Photos you don’t want get set aside, where they stay in your library and you can put them back anytime. When you really want to delete, you review them first, then iOS asks you to confirm.

Your photos can do more, too. Turn several Live Photos into one moving collage, make a card from a photo, or turn a video into a Live Photo. Video compression has two levels, Standard and Strong, and with Standard the change in quality is hard to see. Compressed Live Photos stay Live. Your original doesn’t disappear right away. You delete it only after checking that the new version looks right.

Browsing, analyzing, compressing, organizing, and deleting all happen on your iPhone, and your photos and videos aren’t uploaded. PicWay has no accounts, ads, or behavior tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Photos and videos just for you can go in the Private Vault. They’re encrypted on your iPhone before they’re saved, you open the vault with a pattern, 12 words can get you back in, it won’t open during screen recording, and it locks on its own after a while. With iCloud sync on, it’s encrypted and stored in your own iCloud, and only you can open it.

## Swipe through your photos. Keep what you love. {#top}

By default, right keeps and left sets aside. Nothing is deleted on a swipe. Then switch to Life to hide screenshots, screen recordings and GIFs.

## Set it aside. No rush to delete. {#set-aside}

By default, swipe left and the photo is set aside. It stays in your library, and you can put it back anytime. When you really want to delete, you review the pile first, then iOS asks you to confirm.

- Swipe up to favorite
- Prefer it the other way? Swap left and right in Review settings
- Deleted photos go to Recently Deleted, where you can recover them for 30 days

## Your photos aren’t junk. {#not-trash}

Each one deserves another look. Keep what you love, and set the rest aside.

## Can’t find the photo you took? {#life}

Screenshots, receipts, screen recordings and GIFs pile up between your real photos, and finding one means scrolling and scrolling. In the Photos tab, switch from All to Life. PicWay hides those and leaves just your photos. Nothing is deleted.

- Hides screenshots, screen recordings, animated images, and images not taken with a camera whose text looks like a receipt, ID or document
- Photos you took with the camera stay in Life, however much text is in them
- Wrong call? Touch and hold a photo, then tap Add to Life or Remove from Life

## Edit, convert, tidy, search, and more. {#more}
