PicWay is a duplicate photo cleaner for iPhone that sorts similar photos, duplicate items, and bursts into groups, and you pick which one to keep. Screen captures you go through one by one. Extras are set aside first and stay in your library. When you do delete, you review them, iOS asks to confirm, and they wait in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

## Clean up duplicates and similar photos. {#top}

One small group at a time. You decide which one stays.

## What does PicWay clean up? {#groups}

Each kind gets its own place in Tidy.

- **Similar photos**: Shots of the same moment are grouped together. Pick the best one to keep.
- **Duplicate items**: Identical photos and videos are found separately. A favorite is picked to keep first; if there’s none, the oldest copy.
- **Bursts**: Open a burst and choose the frames you want to keep.
- **Screen captures**: Go through screenshots and screen recordings one by one.

## How does PicWay decide what’s similar? {#how-grouped}

Not only exact copies. Shots of the same moment, taken from a slightly different angle or a second apart, count as similar.

## Does it delete my photos right away? {#set-aside}

No. Extras are set aside first, and they stay in your library. Changed your mind? Tap Put back.

## What happens when I delete? {#delete}

Deleting takes two checks: you review first, then iOS asks you to confirm.

## What PicWay’s photo cleaner doesn’t do {#limits}

- **It doesn’t treat your photos as junk**: Nothing is thrown away for you. Every group waits for your choice.
- **It doesn’t upload your photos**: Grouping happens on your iPhone, and there’s no account to create.
- **It doesn’t merge copies**: In each group, PicWay suggests one to keep, you can pick a different one, and the rest are set aside. If you only want to merge copies, the Duplicates album in Photos does that.
